Shanghai, China also uses maglev train technology. This train can go 268 mph at top operational speed, but has been clocked at 311 mph before.<\/p>\n<p>The first 100 passengers hopped on board the Shinkansen train test track in Yamanashi Prefecture to test out what it\u2019s like to float along at breakneck speeds. The 42.8 km trip whizzed by as the train travelled at speeds of up to 500 kilometres per hour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ACERB2_Prototype_MagLev.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-3795\" alt=\"ACERB2 Prototype MagLev\" src=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ACERB2_Prototype_MagLev.jpg\" width=\"420\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ACERB2_Prototype_MagLev.jpg 634w, http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/ACERB2_Prototype_MagLev-300x198.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Central Japan Railway Company will be testing the trains over eight days, with a total of 2,400 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>The trains will eventually run from Tokyo to Nagoya by 2027.
