The plan is to create non-invasive medical technologies designed to \u201cregenerate bone and muscle tissues,\u201d not too dissimilar to what we see on Star Trek.<\/p>\n<p>In the press release NASA explained it is \u201cinterested in the potential these technologies present for regenerating bone and muscle.\u201d When astronauts are in space for long periods of time, they are prone to developing ostopenia, which results \u201cfrom the loss of bone and muscle mass and bone density.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dermal_regenerator_fom_alt.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1123\" alt=\"Dermal Regenerator\" src=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dermal_regenerator_fom_alt.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"auto\" srcset=\"http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dermal_regenerator_fom_alt.jpg 694w, http:\/\/indogomagazine.com\/indogo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dermal_regenerator_fom_alt-300x229.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 694px) 100vw, 694px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>GRoK\u2019s CEO and founder, Mashe Kushman, says that this type of technology is no longer limited to something we\u2019re used to seeing on sci-fi films and programmes. \u201cIt\u2019s not just science fiction anymore. All indications are that 21st century life sciences will change dramatically during the next several decades, and GRoK is working to define the forefront of a new scientific wave,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>GRoK has two products that it plans to work on with the help of NASA.
