Citizen’s Police Academy is a dynamic, exciting and informative 11-week course, which is designed to provide Monterey Park residents with an interactive, hands-on, comprehensive overview of the Monterey Park Police Department.  Class time includes an introduction to the Detective Bureau, Police Communications, Patrol Procedures and various other department programs. The program has been presented for the past seven years in English. In 2003 we were very proud to present the entire Citizen’s Police Academy program in Mandarin and Cantonese. That class was presented again in the fall of 2004. We are also proud to announce that for the first time in January of 2005 we presented the citizen’s academy class in Spanish. We will continue to present the Citizen’s Police Academy program in English, Chinese, and Spanish each year. The next class is scheduled to start in January 2014.
